Staying socially conscious all-year round
A big part of what makes Cairngorm Group is our connection to our community. This blog post covers a great selection of just that, and how we work towards it all year round.
January - March

In the first quarter of the year, Cairngorm Group typically reopens the wonderful
Jennifer's Fund. You can read a whole blog post dedicated to the cause, which puts a
spotlight on one of the beneficiaries. Jennifer's Fund is part of a pledge to offer small grants to communities that will give them a bit of a boost in making special memories. The fund is not just a one-time-a-year thing though, the
application can be downloaded at any time and submissions will be considered on a quarterly basis.
A little further into the first quarter, we make it along to the
Highland Heroes Awards Night hosted in March. This is a fantastic opportunity for Cairngorm Group to recognise (and present) some accolades to some truly inspirational people.
April - June
Over the years, we've backed
MFR's Cash for Kids various campaigns. In the recent year, this included their Symphony Orchestra event to kick off the second quarter (1st April). It was wonderful to hear that over £1000 could be passed onto supporting this charity's beneficiaries.
This year, we got the opportunity to visit Albania, in connection with our on-going support with
Adopt-A-Child (which has included the sponsorship of a young boy and his family). We have a blog post which expands on
our venture there, and how we offered a little uplift to Andrea and his brother.
The third quarter of 2023 saw us investing a further 118 solar panels onto our factory roof. This comes with some environmental benefits which extend on our already conscious efforts in recycling all our business waste (plus product offerings, such as our A-rated windows, which can save as much as 1704kg of CO2 per year).
July - September
The autumn time sees Cairngorm Group delve into our work in the
Developing the Young Workforce's No Wrong Path campaign (which falls in August), and October marks the anniversary of signing the
Young Persons Guarantee.
Cairngorm Group place a lot of value in supporting those around school leavers age, whatever avenue of employment they are planning. This
blog post refers to this aspect being one of our foundations that our business culture is built on.
October - December

Into the last quarter, Cairngorm Group spares some extra thought over the week of Remembrance Day, which seems a particularly fitting time as we honour those who have served and sacrificed for our greater freedom through our commitment and pledge to the
Armed Services Convenant.
It is tradition at Cairngorm Group for the team to rake through their wardrobes looking for the top Christmas jumper, and we are certain that this year will be no different. From wearing some jolly jumpers for the day, we then make a monetary contribution to
Save the Children.
Last but not least, this year we have supported Highland Hospice's
'Light Up The Highlands' mission which sees a fabulous tree illuminate Falcon Square in Inverness for the festive period. If you are interested in leaving a dedication and sponsoring a light, you can do so
here.
