Composite Doors

Most of us have experienced a door that won’t shut properly or one that sticks and swells. After a time it becomes annoying and the only way to address the problem is to repair it.

Fortunately for today’s homeowner, timber doors aren’t the only option. PVCu and PVCu clad composite doors are time enduring alternatives that successfully imitate the look of a traditional timber door but, unlike wood, won’t rot or warp as the seasons change. As far as options go, full panel doors are ideal for entrances that open on to pavements, shared access passages, or for the utmost privacy. Semi-glazed styles allow more light into entrance areas and offer a suitable level of privacy for front door applications.

For rear or side doors that open on to more secluded areas, choose a style that is more “open” in appearance with fewer panels and a generous amount of glazing.

A composite door is made up of glass fibre skins with a 70mm high density polyurethane foam to reach a minimum of an A rating as well as triple glazing as standard . The double rebated seal means it can withstand the harshest of the Highland weather. The highest grade of insurance approved kite cylinder locks as standard. Multi point locking mechanisms. A PVC door is made using a 28mm reinforced infill panel, doubled glazed as standard.
