The Global Coronavirus pandemic is affecting everyone and we are already experiencing widespread disruptions throughout society and in business. However, we believe that we must remain positive for the future. During this time we want to ensure that our relationships with our customers are maintained throughout, providing continuing support as close to normal as possible. We would like to take this opportunity to advise you on how we intend to continue on a day to day basis, subject of course to the continually updating advice and instructions received from the Government and professional advisors. Our first commitment is to the welfare of people connected to our business, our staff, customers and suppliers. Within that commitment, you may expect the following from us: ·Our Lead-times will remain unaffected at present. · Suppliers – the vast majority of our raw materials and components are sourced from the UK so we are not as dependent on supplies from overseas. · Both our and our supplier’s stock holding is excellent across all products and our supply chain is secure. However as you can appreciate this is a fluid situation and we will update you immediately of any changes. · We will continue to receive orders in the usual way and we will have staff ready to discuss any requirements you may have by telephone and email. · Given the sometimes emergency nature of our work, we still have staff visiting customer’s homes but with the following provisos: Before arriving we are calling customers in advance to ask if they or anyone they are living with are self isolating or are showing the symptoms of Corona Virus which at the time of writing this document are a fever or new continuous cough. If the answer is yes we will not be attending. If our staff arrives at a customer’s home and they are at all uncomfortable with the situation then they have been advised to leave and call their line Director. The same principals above apply to also visiting sites and council properties. · Delivery drivers are equipped with disposable gloves and anti bacterial wipes. Deliveries will be carried out with minimal contact and at the safe recommended distance and will be signed for by customer’s own pen where necessary. . We are still receiving onsite deliveries but they must report to the delivery hut at the entrance of the car park. Internally we will adopt the following strategies designed to protect our staff whilst ensuring that the business continues to run efficiently and effectively: · Our showroom remains open but we are asking people showing the previously mentioned symptoms not to come. Hand sanitiser is available in the reception area. All handles, light switches and other regularly touched surface are being wiped down by antibacterial wipes twice a day. · We intend to make full use of technology to reduce social interaction between our staff internally, and between our customers and suppliers. This will include greater use of video conferencing of course, which is readily available. · As part of this we are keeping meetings to a minimum and social distancing is being encouraged as a matter of course. Any meetings deemed necessary are staggered to allow more space between participants. · Staff showing signs of infection have been told to self-isolate. · Working from home is being encouraged where possible. · All of our offices have been equipped with appropriate cleaning materials and hand wipes and such practices as doors being left open to avoid touching surfaces, are being operated. We trust that, working together, we will overcome this virus and resume some sort of normality as soon as possible. We are doing everything in our power to ensure not only that we are able to continue supporting our customers and in turn therefore, their customers, for any requirements during the current period, but also that we are able to respond quickly and efficiently when things return to normal.
