It Would APEER to be an Excellent Experience!

Our customer who had their windows fitted by us some 15 years ago has since returned to us with a new job - a new external door from the Apeer range! We caught up with him to hear about his experience and have shared his video testimonial on our Facebook page. Take a read of what he said...

Why Cairngorm Group?

I chose Cairngorm Group for our door because we had a really good experience having had all our windows fitted with them about 15 years ago - that was a really positive experience in terms of quality and also experience with the fitters. We wanted to use a local company as well – that’s really important to us and it comes as a bonus that it comes at a really reasonable price and excellent customer service.

What inspired the door colour?

The bright red colour was trying to replicate our original door that was well over 100 years old – we had a beautiful big red door which unfortunately was not very well insulated, had gaps and was showing its age. Our replacement (modern red) door is a nod to the character of the house.

How did you find the installation process?

As expected (from our experience with the window installation), I would say that our experience was excellent. Once again, the installation team were very friendly, very punctual, very very helpful, answered all our questions and they’ve done a very good, neat job. There was a wee bit of snagging that had to be done and the fitter came down, again very promptly, was very friendly and helped us enormously and enhanced our experience with really nice people.

What do you think of the finished product?

Absolutely delighted with the look of it, the colour, it also feels solid, it feels secure. We now have fewer draughts coming in and we really like the finish with the glass around the outside which gives more light coming into the hallway.

How did you find the process from concept to completion?

The process was excellent, we dealt with Martin who came down and visited us, gave us plenty of time and space to consider all of the options – which were many! Although it was a bit overwhelming at first, Martin helped us to work our way through it to work out what we needed and also to give it that final flourish of fittings etc.

Would you recommend?

Absolutely, certainly if you live within the Highland area. I would certainly recommend using local companies who employ local people. Also, we can see from our experience with the windows installation from many years ago to now, there is that consistency of service but also we can see the vast improvement in product as well.
